Mandy Kung was born in Taipei, Taiwan and moved to Houston at the age of 9. Her love of music and playing the piano led her to the Moores School of Music at the University of Houston where she received a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance, and a Masters of Piano Performance and Pedagogy. She has appeared as soloist with the Abilene Philharmonic, the Victoria Symphony, the HSPVA Orchestra, and is a prominent chamber musician, accompanist, and pedagogue in the Houston area. Professional affiliations include membership in Pi Kappa Lambda, the National Music Honor Society, and Forum Music Teacher's Association, the local chapter of the Music Teacher's National Association.
