Reaching the youth in Nigeria
The Rafiki Foundation is a Christian missionary group that ministers to, raises, educates and trains orphan children and vulnerable teenagers in Africa. Rafiki's aim is to turn helpless children into godly contributors in their countries. Rafiki's goal is to establish one Christian training village in each of ten African countries. A Rafiki Training Village consists of 12 homes for 10 orphans each with a Rafiki mother, schools for these orphans from pre-school through high school, medical care for occupants, and facilities for training other groups to replicate Rafiki's efforts. Eligible children and teens in the community may also attend school at the Rafiki village free of cost. Tom Maggio serves as facilities and financial manager at the Rafiki Village in Jos Nigeria. Tom also teaches the middle school science class and coordinates the skill training for the middle school boy students. Walter Hill is a friend of Tom's and will tell you more about Tom and his passion for Nigerian's homeless youth.
