Speaker: Rev. Jon Crantz, Associate Pastor for Spiritual Formation and Teaching, First Presbyterian Church, Houston.
Topic: Luke 6:43-45
“No good tree bears bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit. Each tree is recognized by its own fruit. People do not pick figs from thornbushes, or grapes from briers. A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.”
Rev. Crantz says this about his theme: “Jesus knew a lot about the human heart. He knew that out of the heart of a person, good and evil will come; that words and behavior are formed by what’s on the inside. How can a Christian cultivate a good heart; one that is in step with our Savior’s? Join us as we delve into this important but often overlooked teaching of our Lord."
