The youth trips of St. Andrew’s Youth ministry are one of the best things we do. The community, the prayer, the love, and the fun cannot be duplicated in any other setting. When a youth leaves for a retreat or weeklong trip, they come back changed.
What happens here does not stay here.
A camp for elementary aged students, hosted, planned, and counseled by the youth of St. Andrew's. This is one of the greatest events anyone does anywhere. This 2-night camp is usually during spring break. So, plan on being there!
All St. Andrew's youth and their friends are invited to join us for this fall's retreat from Friday, Oct. 29 to Sunday Oct. 21, 2010. We will be staying at Camp for All (www.campforall.org), a unique camping and retreat facility for people with special needs and challenging illnesses. The youth will be serving the campers and also participate in fun activities. It will be a fulfilling and fun weekend that will allow us to grow closer to each other and to God. Contact Chris Matlock for more information. See the bottom of this page to download the permission slip, due on October 24.
Each age group, High School and Middle School, have their own retreat, sometimes mystery, sometimes mystical, always great!
Stay tuned for more information later this fall!
Middle School EDGE
A phenomenal annual summer conference for middle school youth. This trip is usually in June/July. Check out www.theedgeconference.com for more info.
A priority of the youth program; each summer we strive to serve. In the summer of 2010, the high school youth went to Shell, Wyoming, a small rural community that the O'Neal's are a part of. We served in their annual VBS and worked on a few construction style jobs. As, always we had great music, programming, fellowship, and lots of free time.
A great time for High School students to ski, be together and think upon God's word. This trip is usually during the winter break, before or after Christmas. Last year's retreat was Dec. 19-23, 2009, in Copper Mountain, Colorado. It was awesome!
