Joy of Easter Seem Far Away?
For those who have suffered a loss or who are going through the difficult time, Easter can be a time of painful loneliness and emptiness. If you are smiling on the outside, but full of pain on the inside and the joy of Easter seems far away, help is available.
Our Stephen Ministers are ready to provide confidential, one-to-one, Christian care. They will listen, care, encourage, and pray with and for you. Stephen Ministers have been specially trained to meet your emotional and spiritual needs; male Stephen Ministers are always matched with men, and female Stephen Ministers are matched with women.
If you or someone you know is hurting, find out more about Stephen Ministry by talking with one of our Stephen Leaders- Jane Whitney, Susan Sanchez, Robert Fitzpatrick, or Margaret Bremer.
Our Stephen Ministers are there to care!

Listening is Working?
There's a lot of work to do in the community at St. Andrew's. Caregiving is one of the most important jobs God calls us to do - to love others in his name. Our church's Stephen Ministry is one way we accomplish God's caring work. Perhaps God has blessed you richly and you're at a place where you can give something back by serving and blessing others. Roll up your sleeves and explore your role in Stephen Ministry.
Stephen Ministers are God's representatives who bring his love and a listening ear to those who are hurting--like those who have lost a job, lost a loved one, gone through a divorce, or who are in a stressful job situation. God is waiting to make a difference in their lives through you! If you want to find out more about how you can be involved in this one-to-one caregiving ministry, watch for more information about our next Stephen Ministry training class in the fall of 2008.

It's Okay to be Human...
We're brought up to be strong, self-sufficient, independent people. We tend to think that if we ask for help, it is a sign of weakness. So we try to keep our struggles hidden, stuffed deep inside. However, that's not God's plan. God wants us to care for others - and allow others to care for us in our time of need.
If you're sad or struggling inside, don't suffer alone. Ask for help. We've got a team of Stephen Ministers who are ready to listen, care, encourage, pray, and help you through a tough time. Men are matched with men, and women with women. (It's completely confidential too!)
To find out more about Stephen Ministry for you or someone you know, talk with any one of our Leaders. |
