"Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.
We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man's gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith. If it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach; if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully."
Romans 12:4-8
These words from the Apostle Paul are as important to us at St. Andrew's today as they were 2000 years ago when written to the church at Rome. Our St. Andrew's family is very blessed indeed with so many gifted members.
Our prayer is that as you listen to the prompting of the Holy Spirit, you will find your place in our church family to live generously. By living generously, we each use our own gifts to glorify God and honor the body of Christ, not only within the family of St. Andrew's, but in the communities we live and work in. In living generously with our time, talents, and treasures, we live out this Mark of Discipleship and portray Christ to the world and empower the community of Christ around us to go forth and make a difference in our city and around the world.
